Ask your teens how their day was, what makes them laugh, ask about their friends, their dreams, their goals, anything! Ask for their opinions - get the food they like, ask them to help plan activities & holidays, include them in everything possible.

Get creative or active with your teen. Paint, sew, put designs on to plain t-shirts;

have a battle of Nintendo Wii; play sports with them, try tennis or squash.
